Imagine that out of the blue you’re given a chance to do a photoshoot. Of course, you want to do it … but what if you only have 30 minutes with the model? This was the challenge I received from Sophie Finzi in NYC. We were both working at the Atelier Designers show in Times Square. Sophie grabbed me in the hallway and said “Anne, you can do this for me .. take Donna (her daughter) and make some pictures for a postcard.” Sophie can be quite persuasive, to say the least.
So Donna dresses quickly, and we head out to commit photography. We’re right in the thick of things at 7th Ave and 47th St. Where to go? The sun is high in the sky: harsh shadows. Drop down the stairs headed to the subway. Pose here. Have Donna walk through the glass doors of the hotel … get some movement. And then after some compositing work back in my studio, this was the result.
